There’s something about an Elsick House wedding that just hits differently so when Alisdair and Katy told me they were tying the knot at this stunning venue, I knew we were in for something special.

From the moment I met Alisdair and Katy, I could tell they were my kind of people. Laid-back, effortlessly stylish, and totally up for having a laugh….exactly the kind of couple that makes my job an absolute dream. Katy and Alisdair made the most of it, opting for an outdoor ceremony in the gardens, surrounded by lush greenery and just the right amount of romantic breeze (thank you, Scottish weather gods). The setting was intimate, emotional, and ridiculously photogenic.
The Details: A Masterclass in Stylish Simplicity
I always say the best weddings are the ones where every detail feels like an extension of the couple’s personality, and these two nailed it. The flowers? Wild, natural, and effortlessly beautiful. The tablescapes? Understated elegance with modern touches. And let’s talk about Katy’s dress - contemporary, minimal, and absolutely made for her. She looked like something straight out of a bridal editorial.
The Celebration: An Unforgettable Party
Once the vows were exchanged and the happy tears were (mostly) dried, it was time to party. And let me tell you, this crowd did not hold back. The marquee at Elsick House transformed into an all-out celebration, twinkling lights, flowing drinks, and a packed dance floor that stayed lively well into the night.
The ceilidh dancing kicked things off (because no Scottish wedding is complete without a bit of high-energy, slightly chaotic fun) - I may or may not have been caught mid-dance move while snapping some of my favourite shots of the night.
